Open Question: How can I fix a browser hijack?
I have a partial browser hijack on my laptop.. it redirects me to random fake searches occasionally when using google
I've ran several security programs such as Ad-Aware, Panda Anti-Rootkit, Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, Spybot Search&Destroy, Avast anti-virus, and was using Zone Alarm at the approximate time of infection...
This issue only occurs when using my laptop so I know that the problem has nothing to do with the network or connection.
Firefox is my default browser and I have already gone about deleting all cookies, temporary files, and other such things to see if this would have any effect.
It's mainly just an inconvenience that's frustrating at times so I'm looking to get rid of it
Thank you.
Open Question: Browser Hijacked by Infomoneyservice page.?
Once in awhile I'll open Firefox and it will take a minute to load. Then 4-5 Firefox windows will pop up, all to Infomoneyservice.c/o/m [Slashs breaking link, I don't want some idiot clicking it].
Most of the time I'll just close them all then open a new window, which will then open to my default home page Google.
But sometimes, they will cause Firefox to start crashing. I then have to go to my start menu > right click Firefox > Run in Safe Mode > Disable All Add-Ons, Reset default settings etc. etc.
I'm really tired of it. I've asked about this a few times and no one seems to know anything about it. Does anyone know how I can get rid of this?
I have run the following
Malwarebytes Full Scan
Ad-Aware Full Scan
Both of them coming up empty handed after hours of scanning.
Open Question: Google Chrome is not working?
I know there are many questions and answers on here about Google Chrome not working, however I have searched for hours and cannot find a solution that works for me. I had gotten a particularly nasty virus on my computer a few months ago and Chrome has not worked since even though I have gotten rid of the virus. I am not getting any error messages, pages just are not loading. So far I have tried the following to resolve this issue:
1.Uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome many times
2.Uninstalled the Beta version and installed the secure version and vise versa
3.Scanned for viruses and other maloutious software using AVG free, Panda Cloud, Ad-Aware, Spybot, Spyware Blaster, Malwarebytes, Google's Spyware Doctor with anti-virus and took a look at things with Hijack This
4.Ran CCleaner
5.Tried steps one and two again
6.Disabled my firewall
7.Checked my proxy settings (which worked for another computer on the same network that had the same problem)
I really don't want to just give up a...

Resolved Question: Help with a computer virus?
Somehow I just got a virus on my computer earlier today that has been slowing down my computer and hijacking my browser during google searches (the url to the link always turns to http://results5.google.com/ ) and I cant seem to remove it by running virus scans in safe mode and Ive stopped all start up processes that seemed odd. two processes that I think are involved with the virus are Knetua.exe, which I get no results for on google, and Kvr.exe . Please help
and I have already tried Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, and it doesn't find anything
Resolved Question: How do I get rid of this virus?
My computer redirects to different search engines and websites every time I use google and random sites pop up spuratically. I've ran Malware Bytes', AVG, Microsoft Security Essentials, and HiJack This and don't find anything. What's wrong with my computer and how do I make it stop?
I read about the google redirect virus but all the information I got wasnt quite accurate. It had specific sites that this virus redirects to and mine don't go to those sites. It also said that it causes issues with downloading which I haven't experienced.

Resolved Question: Virus slowly eating computer?
Ok, a bunch of suspicious stuff is happening to my computer. I'll list everything, but everything I list is all happening now. But the order I list them in is what things happened first. But right now, they're all happening.
1. Avira detects some strange gibberish named .dll files and says they're viruses. I delete them.
2. Everytime I load my computer a small error window appears with the name "RUNDLL" and says "Error Loading "dsxjfe.dll". (or whatever it was called) Cannot find the specified module." Two of these windows appear.
3. My internet is freaking out, whenever I go on the internet with Firefox, I can still do everything... but sometimes a random new tab will open without my permission and the URL will be something related to what I was just doing but on like a spam/virus website. Firefox apparently knows how to protect itself and in that tab it automatically redirects itself to Google.com. Weird.
4. Webpages begin to redirect themselves automatically. If I click a Goo...
