A New York 'Club of the tent s forane of 11 August 2008, AMD has demonstrated new technologies that promise forever to merge the photorealism 3D, the film immersion and interactivity of video game and alter the landscape of how the creators met and their audience interact with digital media. The new era of cinema 2.0 starts. The representation in real time photorealistic graphics compute-intensive 3D that make a Cinmea 2.0 is a reality made possible in part by ATI Radeon (TM) for the development of a 4870 graphic from AMD that is capable of transporting more than 1 TeraFLOPS of making power on a single chip.

    FUCKING HELL!
It’s not even how realistic they look, it’s the movement too! A true 60FPS! Moves so realistic!

The girl talking about realism graphics in later years is so fake, I mean, look at the setup:/ A modified pc, multimeter etc, seems too much:/

But I can’t wait for this to successfully come out! Crysis already impressed me, now this will impress me again!

Okay, okay. I’ll conceed and say… blame intel and their adverts they had back in the 90s.
And technically, if you don’t have a decent CPU, you’re GPU will be capped.

Remember, size wise, the CPU acompanies a smaller space and power requirements than a GPU. And CUDA has only recently come out in terms of application development. You’ll have to wait till 2011 to see real use (office/database apps) of GPUs.

Stock prices have nothing to do with it. GPU’s are about 6x more powerful than CPU’s. Thats just the way it is. It does not matter what dual core CPU you put in there so long as you have a decent GPU you can play the latest games. If they stutter buy more RAM.

This is awesome. Finally, a graphics breakthrough to render realism. A dawn of a new era is born. Now, I can’t wait for Matrix-style virtual worlds which will be ‘a few years away.’

Amd is winning, but intel might beat it soon. But not for atleast 1-2 months.

I see a product and the marketing of a product.

Therefor while I never trust marketing I will remember this if I see games labeled as featuring Cinema 2.0 technology.

I will expect 4850/equivalent cards and above to render these games at 30FPS.

I will expect that HD will run these games at 1920×1080/1080i though if you consider marketing I would presume 30FPS at 1280×720/720p.

We’ll see when it and if it happens. Good luck to AMD. :-)

im a big fan of ATI but such amazing technologies never make it to real life, it’s just for advertising …as for the real-life graphics, i think this will take at least 8 years …anyway they need to revive VR project, we had enough with conventional gaming machines

Why is everyone so concerned with who has the best CPU? Did you watch this video? This amazing sh*t wasn’t done with the CPU - it was thanks to the GPUs. You’re totally living in the past if you think the fastest CPU will give you the best gaming/video/whatever experience.

So… reality ain’t ‘original’ anymore, we have to fake it to suit our needs formed by the media.

    Lemme have it :D

Yeah, people from marketing always “believe” that the company achieved it today.

I feel even better now that I bought some AMD stock. Sure it’s like $5 a share, but that’s when you are suppose to buy it. I do use Intel CPU’s, but I prefer AMD, at least I made the smart move using ATI.

The Nvidia video cards are having all kinds of problems with the 8000 series and possibly the 9000 series. I don’t care if an Nvidia card gets 20 FPS faster than the one I have. I’ll not use one.
