ATI video card
helsabot00 asked:

i’ve just built a computer and put an HIS ati x1650 pro video card in and the monitor will be on but won’t work with it. when i use the video that comes with the motherboard it works fine though, any suggestions for troubleshooting?
i’ve tried looking through the bios and there’s nothing that turns on board video off and it also won’t power when i have the video card into the pcie slot

Switch to the motherboard graphics. Go to the BIOS. There might be an option to use the alternate video output other than the onboard if its available. Search around and you should find it.

Look in the bios for a video out setting pci/vga, etc. If that fails, boot in the onboard video and make sure you have the correct drivers installed for ati, then switch and reboot. I suspect the problem is in the bios or apature size, also in the bios.

Go into BIOS settings and disable on board video. You may have to select video device. AGP or PCI interface etc.

Install drivers that came with hardware?? Good luck
