How do I find my browser history?

October 13th, 2008
browser history
shayla asked:

I don’t want to know how to erase it, I just want to know how to access it so that I can re-visit one of the websites I was at yesterday. I can’t remember what it was. But I know that I didn’t finish reading something.

Use it properly

The top left of the screen has either an orange star by itself, or an orange star with ‘Favourites’ next to it… click it and select history.

    Depends on the browser.

For most, ctrl-h will bring up your history (hold down CTRL and press H)

This includes Internet Explorer, FireFox, Google Chrome and Safari (if on the mac then Command-H).

Hold CTRL + H while you browser is open and it should open the browser history on the left hand side of your page. Depending on your settings, this should go back several days to 2 weeks.

Well if you have a mac, it should be on the tool bar with file, edit, history, bookmarks, tools etc. Also, you can try the little orange star in the corner.Hope this helps.

okay well it depends on your internet browser. if it’s safari…well just click the history button on the top. If it’s firefox…go to go on the top then history. if it’s internet explorer…go to go on the top and then the date you were at. that’s all I know.

On the toolbar, there’s a clock icon. Click on it, there are different days to choose from; today, yesterday, 2 days ago, etc. Usually, it goes back 2 weeks. Click on the yesterday option since that’s the day that you’d like to visit, and whatever it is that you were reading should be listed under there. You can also hold down Ctrl and press H to bring up your history.
