hohnancy asked: How do you replace the battery (step by step) on a Compaq Presario S5100CL? I have the battery but I can’t get the screw on the rear side that slides out unscrewed so I can replace it.
I am replacing the battery because the date/time is wrong everytime I boot up. It goes back to January 2001, and I am getting tired of fixing it to the right time/date.
The computer in the picture from the websites you provided doesn’t match my computer, and my computer has a doorscrew on one side. I can’t get it open or twist it off….what kind of tool should I use to open the rear side so I can put the new battery in?
