How do i get sims 2 working with vista ultimate?

So i got windows vista ultimate. I loaded sims 2 and i it loaded. The problem is that i can’t open sims 2. My computer tells me that it’s incompatible. Anybody know a fix?

If you have a shortcut on your desktop, right click on it and choose properties.
Go to the compatability tab and you can choose to run the game in compatability mode. The computer will respond to the game as if it was installed in WinXP or Win2k, etc.
Just choose the one your version was designed to run on.
If there’s no desktop shortcut, just go to the one in the programs list and right click on the game shortcut there.
